In the Euralille district so atypical, The Euravenir tower is out of the ground in 2014 on the last piece of the first phase of the Euralille project, begun in 1988. This new round comes to offer to residents and businesses with office space and meetings.
To carry out this ambitious project, Lan Architectures imagined a building envelope can reinvent the idea of city. The cladding of the façade is composed of several boxes of copper, all different because of their orientation, their use and their heat and light requirement. A total of four front different modules were designed, corrugated turn around, smooth, solid or perforated.
Problem : copper is complicated by its flexibility to work. TOLARTOIS mobilized its research to solve the technical difficulty of perforating and embossing copper, while giving him a double curvature. The company’s engineering is then coupled to allow the optimized production of all different panels, ensuring that each pattern can be fitting.
The workshop then developed specific tools and stamping ribbing, dedicated solely to this project and layout plan. With its expertise, TOLARTOIS noted the challenge of delivering several systems covering more or less perforated, to give a real personality to this highly stylized building.
